Environment, Health and Safety Policy
Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) is Mercedes-Benz AG’s largest R&D facility outside Germany. R&D focuses on automotive product development of cars and vans. It focuses on the design and development of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components through its lifecycle. We also perform validations through vehicle safety, durability simulations, and manufacturing engineering. While, our IT streams deliver software and application development services, information security, SAP functionalities in the domain of IT engineering, sales and after-sales, group functions, and infrastructure for Mercedes-Benz entities spread across the globe. In addition, the facility management services at its operation locations.
At MBRDI, we carry out our activities with due recognition of associated health and safety risks, and environmental impacts. We are committed to continually improve our Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) performance by:

Providing a safe workplace
Implementing prevention and mitigation strategies to eliminate hazards and reduce risks leading to ill health and injuries, ensuring a safe and healthy workplace

Protecting the Environment
Prevention of pollution by optimising use of energy and natural resources, waste minimisation and product innovation

Legal Compliance
Complying with all applicable EHS regulations and other requirements to which we subscribe

Employee Awareness
Involving employees through consultation and participation, and enhancing awareness amongst our employees and associates towards environment-friendly and safe work practices

Integrating Sustainability
Systematically integrating principles of sustainability into the planning and decision-making processes at all levels
